Virginia grew up in Richmond, Virginia and is a convert to Catholicism. She graduated from The College of William & Mary in 2019, where she converted her senior year at the Catholic Campus Ministry. After graduation, she went to The Catholic University of America where she completed a Master of Music in Choral Conducting. During her time at Catholic, she studied church history and liturgical law, alongside her music studies. Following the two-year masters program, she worked as music director and organist at the National Shrine of Saint Alphonsus in Baltimore, MD. There she organized, sang, and played organ for liturgies in the extraordinary form (Divine Office and Mass). Alongside her role at St. Alphonsus, she was also the choral teacher at Oakcrest School in Vienna, VA. There she taught choir classes and planned, sang, and conducted liturgies in the ordinary form for the chapel at the all-girls Catholic school. She begins her appointment as Assistant to the Director of the Office of Worship in Summer 2023.
